The family owned Hotel Bougainvillea is just 15 minutes away from San Jos� and is surrounded by coffee plantations and citrus orchards. From Juan Santamaria International Airport:
Approximate distance to the hotel is kilometers.
Take the highway going towards San Jose.
At first traffic light, go straight (the Hampton Inn Hotel will be
on the left).
After 4.5 kilometers, the Bridgestone/Firestone tire factory
will appear.
Take the exit to the right at the green sign that reads Cuidad Cariari.
At the end of that exit ramp, turn left and drive over the overpass.
Keep on the same road. After approximately 6 km, there will be a
series of factories: Cocorisa and the Galletas Noel factory (red logo).
Drive for approximately two blocks. Stay in the middle lane and
there will be a traffic light.
Right after the light, the street turns into a one way street.
As soon as possible after that light, go all the way to the left
and make a sharp left turn (there is a white wall on the right.
This is the cemetary called Jardines Del Recuerdo).
This one way street has three lanes. Drive a short distance, then
change to the far left lane to make an almost U turn.
Soon after moving to the far left lane, turn right at the traffic light.
After approximately 3 kilometers (drive past the Megasuper, 3M Factory,
Yale and InBioparque), at the first Stop sign (this is the intersection
with the road to San Jose), drive straight.
Take the second left. Drive straight and take the second right (at
the corner of Farmacia El Nopal, which has a large sign).
The Hotel Bougainvillea will be on the left after 1 kilometer.
